Kestin is on her way Home! (Well, home-away-from-home...) In another week or so, we'll have our paperwork and drive back to North Carolina. For now, Kestin and her mommies and her doggie Duncan are enjoying a special time at Aunt Linda & Cheryl's house in Brookline.



Birthmom Gwen knitted a soft, warm quilt to match Kestin's nursery colors: purple & green, of course! We needed the warmth, for sure - Pittsburgh got chilly suddenly!

Kestin and her birthmom, Gwen! One day after delivery both are healthy & recovering well. Gwen was discharged (September 19th) and sent home with well-wishes to R-E-L-A-X and enjoy the new freedom from little kicks and jabs from the inside-out.

Kestin spent the next two days in the Hospital Nursery. Her mammas were able to visit anytime and rock her, feed her and even learned from the nurses about giving baths and taking care of her cord. The pediatrician visited a few times and declared her health excellent!

Kestin's Uncle Ben & Aunt Kathy get their first introduction, just about an hour after she was born.

Kestin's Birthday!

How do we even start! Our little miracle was born at 8:44 am on Monday, September 18, 2006! She is perfectly healthy and beautiful, and her birthmom did a terrific job getting her here safe and sound.

She was born at 8:44 am at the Magee-Women's Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
