Final Shots of Halloween 2008

Little Steeler Fan in a Big World...

I am a brave girl! ...This was my second time to jump on the bungee cords at the mall. I like to go about six feet high off the trampoline. No flips yet, Grandma, don't worry... But maybe sometime soon!
See me? -I am the yellow and black blur there in mid-air...Wheeeeeeeee!

More from Halloween

Aunt Carol came to visit that weekend...

...It's become a Halloween Tradition! I share a slurpee with Momma Cindy after the long walk around the big mall for trick-or-treating. YUM!

Halloween 2008

Halloween @ the Mall

...So, Momma changed my outfit there at the mall...

And, Ta-Da! I'm a Steelers Cheerleader!

(Tks for the great outfit, Aunt Linda)

I actually did have pom-poms too, but mostly I just wanted to carry my candy bucket.

Halloween 2008

Well, Momma Marianne wanted to try and make me an elaborate costume this year, but she knew I might not be willing to wear it because it was kind of big and bulky. But... she and I made a great bus costume that I could actually wear over my shoulders; then I could dress up as 'The Driver of the Bus' from one of my favorite songs, The Wheels on the Bus. It had a moving steering wheel and a compartment for my candy and was really kind of neat-o. Good idea, Mommy! ...Well, a good theory anyway. In action, not so good. As it turned out, on Halloween I didn't nap well so I was kind of cranky that night when we went trick-or-treating at the mall. So... on to Plan B...

Fall at Home in Asheville

At home this October / early November, we had lots of really colorful leaves changing. My mommies and I would take walks around the homestead, listen to the wind, and watch the leaves coast down to the ground.
And yes, I love jumping into piles of leaves this year!!

Painting a Fall picture... Paints and drawing are still one of my favorite things to do!

Back Home, October 2008

Back at home... Well, I was exhausted! Here I am, taking a snooze at the office with Delilah (and Henry.)

And when G-Ma and Paul-Paul came for a quick visit, yep... I needed another nap! G-Ma and Aunt Carol simply wore me out that day; as you can see I never even made it to bed.

In California, September '08

...But I managed to have a little fun in California too. "No more monkeys jumping on the bed, Grandma!!"

In California, September

Then, sadly, we headed out to California for Pop-Pop's memorial service. I was a very good girl that day (you can see me in the background, taking a snooze...)

I'll miss playing with you, Pop-Pop!!

Song at Church

B.G. also wrote a special lullaby in honor of Erik and me. She and Gwen sang it at Church that Sunday. How beautiful! -I am such a lucky Little Girl!

Tent at BG's House

BG Marji is the BEST! She got Erik and me this great tent for the backyard. Erik was a little too small this year, but... soon!

More from September 20th

Visiting with Birthdad Rob... He's lots of fun to play with!

Family Gathering at BG's - Sept. 20, 2008

B.G. Marji hosted a very special family gathering in September. Lots of friends, family and extended family visited from all over Pittsburgh and from far away too, all to catch up of course... but also to welcome me and my baby cousin Erik into the family. What Fun!

Me, Uncle Ben and Cousin Erik

Needless to say, I got a jillion more wonderful presents! Thank you, Everyone!!

Birthday Cake 2

I Love the Happy-To Song!!
...It makes me feel really special...

Regaling the crowd with an impromptu rendition of Itsy-Bitsy Spider...

YUMMY!

Birthday Cake

Birthday Party

Gifts from my B.G.!! She got me a variety of goodies: clothes, a Dora puzzle, two dress-up hats, plus lots of other fun stuff. Thank you, B.G.!

Stickers with Derrick. He's pretty good at Legos, too!

Birthday Celebration, 9-18-08

Back @ Aunt Linda & Aunt Cheryl's that night... Mommy Marianne made me a Blues Clues scavenger hunt game of my very own, so I could go find each of my gifts... then I got to open them one by one. I had about a million presents and still had leftovers!

Mamma Cindy got me my very own toddler camera! I am very good at 'finding the shot' and pressing my fingers up to my eye like a scope... so the new camera has been lots of fun. Figuring out which button to press is still a little hard for me, but eventually I'll ask Mommy to post some of my own pictures here on the blog for you to see.

Build a Bear 2

Aunt Linda got a new friend too! She chose a baby leopard.
I got a scruffy doggie named Martha Elaine!

Birthday! September 18, 2008

Yay, another moment for timetraveling! Here we are, back in September for my birthday festivities... I drove up to Pittsburgh to spend the Special Day with Aunts Linda & Cheryl, plus B.G. Marji, Gwen, Derrick and all the Schmidt Clan. Turning two years old is Great Fun!!

Aunt Linda took me to the Build-A-Bear store on September 18th. Holy mackeral, look at all this cool stuff!

I had a lot of fun on the store computer, while Moms and Linda picked out my new friend. For some reason, I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted a new teddy bear or a monkey or a dinosaur... so I let the grown-ups have some fun.

Bear Hunt continues...

"There's a BEAR!!!"

Bear Hunt

Along the way, Kestin sought high and low for a 'Bear.' Mommy wasn't sure where she got that idea, so it made her a little nervous that maybe Kesty's intuition was right and we might spot one... (Luckily, we didn't!)

Kestin kept chattering for 45 minutes about the Bear Story. As you can see, she's gotten quite animated!
