Party On!

Well, a girl can't have too many parties,

that's what the staff at Moms' office says!

We had a great time, playing the Winnie-the-Pooh bumblebee game... making music and singing (I brought my maracas and tambourine to share)... and eating (you guessed it) my second-ever birthday cake! I wonder how we'll top it next year?...

Moms are very proud of me, but turning one wasn't so hard...

My first taste of cake! I was a very sweet girl and wanted to share.

And as you'll see, I did pretty good with my spoon - I haven't practiced much with it all by myself, but I really did well finding my mouth. -Cake, I've decided, is one of the very best reasons to be able to find your mouth. ...A much better reason, in fact, than wrapping paper.

Learning to open presents is an art! Turns out, I really love to taste the different wrapping papers, to find out how yummy they are...

...but the surprises inside are fun too! Look, I got a set of tools with a workbench from Aunt Carol, and a new wag-the-tail puppy from my mommies.

I did have a very special first birthday, with two parties and over a week's worth of presents to open. Thanks to everyone, coast-to-coast, for making it a special celebration!

Surveying my stash of presents - I really loved looking at the colorful paper, and playing with the curly ribbons. I'm wearing a hat because I had my first ear infections over birthday time - ick!
